You can only get one traveling companion upgrade per FO/GM/PM/DM. So for a party of 5 the maximum upgrades you can get are 4 if you split the reservation such that one FO/GM/PM/DM is on one reservation with one non-status flyer and one FO/GM/PM/DM is on another reservation with another non-status flyer.
