I'm using these now in bulkhead and emergency E+ on UA without issues, YMMV. I've seen passengers use their bag or even roller board as well which is a bigger problem.

I think the question comes down to etiquette if you have the aisle. One nice thing about the blow up is so easy to just pick up if your neighbor needs to get up.

Not sure if in E sardine rows if these work so well or convenient in anything but the window seat with kids.
