We were delayed 15 hours by Air New Zealand travelling from PPT to AKL with the result that we missed our Air China flight back to London which was on a separate ticket (we have left ourselves a 13 hour layover).
Air New Zealand refused to do anything to help and Air China wanted to charge US$5,000 to change our flights to the next day.
We ended up travelling with Emirates on a new one way ticket but wondered if anyone has any advice on what we should do to try and recover the cost and/or get compensation from Air New Zealand as they were utterly useless and totally unwilling to help us?
