If your flight from LA is on time I think you’ll have plenty of time. If your flight from LA is not on time, it will be dicey but that would be dicey whether there were separate tickets or on the same ticket. The difference being if separate tickets, UA will have no responsibility to get you to Austin. I would probably chance if I knew I could check my luggage through but if not I wouldn’t.
