Sitting on 896 to ORD in HKG right now, started off with a 1.5 delay for Mx, then undetermined weather delay. No update on timing from the crew, but the UA app is now showing us diverting to SFO (though we haven’t left the gate yet). Not sure what the story is.
Means the crew is timing out for the HKG trip -- UA will use the time you are in the air to get a replacement crew in place at SFO to minimize the delay
