When buying a Spirit Airlines ticket at the airport to avoid the PUF...
1. Are you allowed to purchase for others if you are not flying on the same reservation? I need to buy for my family but I won't be with them and I won't be flying on the reservation.

2. If you do buy at the airport, I assume the same 24-hour cancellation still is available. Can you do that online / over the phone, or do you need to return to the airport to cancel?

There have been reports of differing experiences recently with the PUF, so I expect these questions are also ymmv, but curious if people know how it should work?
