While à la carte is nice, in this case I would actually have preferred the AA buffet if it even remotely resembles that of JFK or MIA FL. In a self-serve bar, I wouldn’t have needed to argue about the tomato juice, either.

Looks not bad! How’s the lounge when comparing with CX lounge in BKK?
The QF F LAX is a lot bigger and the only dining option is à la carte. There’s also a staffed bar. I found CX BKK okay and the noodles good, but otherwise it was pretty unremarkable. I suppose I’d rather pick the CX BKK, but it’s not even close to CX F LHR, for example.
