There are definitely things to see - take a boat trip around the stilted community Kampong Ayer, there is an incredible mosque, a nature reserve with wonderful birdlife and proboscis monkeys, and ogle the Sultan's palace which I thought resembled an airport terminal building. Don't forget to clock up Kalimantan when you are on the island of Borneo.

Yes, the hotel's age is old as per their name, they opened in 2000, but they have gone thru several cycles of renovation and the rooms looks freshly contemporary. Their bathrooms esp in premier suite are still the best in the business. St Regis tried few times but always service issue. Their "Butler Service" is downright annoying because everything has to go thru the butler and they are often not available when call upon. Andaz strictly speaking not exactly luxury, more like just a fun hotel to stay esp for young people. Four Seasons have renovated their rooms recently but I have not checked them out yet, but pics are already on the website. Should be worth a try.
No idea about KL or Brunei as I don't visit these cities.

Pity then you are not staying at The Empire , the Sultan ‘ s hotel . Getting to town to “ jalan jalan “ should not been an issue . But it is OTT .
Debating between our usual MOKL & new FS in KL .
Depends on what you feel like doing in Singapore .
RC is ok for Marina area .
If Orchard then FS is well positioned with its AC link bridge to Hilton on Orchard Road . The hotels have shopping too

besides those in the surrounding shops / malls . Easier to access rather than StR or SLA ( Valley Wing ) which are marginally further away but with the humidity , makes it seem way further & not walkable for me . No issues of course for the 2 and entourage who stayed earlier in the month ..
There is always GRAB for others , no more UBER .
For Sentosa , the now famous Capella .
