My daughter is set to come back from camp tomorrow ORD-SEA on AS and when I went to look at something in her reservation, I saw that the UM fee had been raised from $25 per segment to $50 each way direct/$75 with connections. Can’t seem to find any further information on this. Does anyone know whether the old fee still applies to bookings prior to a particular date, or if it’s going to be an extra $50 tomorrow no matter what? (She took AA to ORD on the way out due to the scheduling requirements of the camp, so this is her first time flying UM on AS since mid-April).

I’m a bit peeved, but i understand the UM fees have been the lowest in the industry by *a lot* for quite some time...I guess it was time for the other shoe to drop.
