Wow, that is almost unreal in my world. As previously posted I am often on the Sunday return to SFO which almost never clears and the outbound from SFO is more flexible but still with only rare clearance in my case. I am sure the holiday traffic also is a huge factor this and next week as well.

For sure that has to do with holiday week. I am told that second only to Christmas/New Years the Fourth of July week in Kona is the busiest week. When I was last there I spoke with some of the hotel people who said business was way down but they still expected and had reservations for a busy Fourth week. That Saturday morning flight is my typical go to flight with my work schedule and it is always full with, until recently, rare clearance of instruments.
