Your personal suitcase, sorry item, is rather larger than that permitted by BA. They may or may not enforce the rules strictly. I suggest you get a smaller second bag or if you want to chance it, ensuring you board before most other passengers.

Frankly BA doesn’t police the luggage size carefully on most flights but only on a somewhat random minority so you’ll probably get away with it.
