I just saw a notice on the BA website that the Elemis Spa and Showers in the BA Lounge at JFK will be closed from 9th to 30th of July. I will be flying back from JFK on BA 182 (23.00) on 10th of July. I'll be spending the whole day in what will probably a hot and sticky Manhattan, so would quite like to have a shower before my flight. Do any regular visitors to JFK know whether there are any alternative lounges with shower facilities I could use? I'm BA Gold and will be on the return leg of my First First, if that makes a difference.

As an aside, I am very much looking forward to the First First experience - I shan't bother you with lots of questions about the Concorde Room and promise to read up on all the existing threads of how to make the best of the flight. Oh, and I bagged 1A on the 747. I am keeping my fingers crossed like crazy I don't get bumped by someone with a "shinier" card.
