Looking for some advice on a region and hotel options for our trip to Vietnam next year. We (my wife and I, both mid-20s) will be spending 3 nights in HCMC and then after a week of more relaxing time on a coast and nice beach.

i know the key areas and am happy to take an internal flight if necessary, but the apparent lack of really nice looking resorts has been a stumbling block so far.
