While the space is not directly useable, the isle was wider next to the seat, meaning I could hang my feet out a bit. Right away the lovely attendant Sharon asked me if the seat was nice or not, to which I replied well it's not like we have other options (I'm 6'3 big bloke). She said A330-200s will used on KUL - AKL - KUL sector in the future instead of the A330-300s (with the King seats). The IFE looked smart, but it wasn't working. My seat didn't return upright after sleeping, so I was moved to 6A, and that didn't lean back at all.
Thanks for the info. I will have to load up on movies before the flight
