We get nothing different from standard BA T&Cs on tickets, no enhanced cancellations or anything, and we're part of a very large multinational. And as has been stated, if you actually need assistance they're not very useful outside extremely constrained situations. I'm pretty sure there will be a substantial rebate at the end of the year going elsewhere, but it doesn't land on our accounts.
It's quite rare that SH trips get cancelled, and even if they do, who cares when it's a £70 return? The savings from HBO basic and LCC easily cover any cancellations that might happen. In fact the most significant benefit we see is in not having to have a team of dedicated and experienced travel bookers which we have had at various points - the TA will apply strict policy and check for alternative routings without fear or favour, and this is the reason why they can be a bit unpopular with corporate travellers. In the OP's case where the aim is to minimise spend out of funding, it does seem like unnecessary overhead.
