I'm new to flyertalk, and wanted to ask the community if they know how to determine fare class on Alaska Airlines, prior to purchasing the ticket. As I understand it, I won't know the fare class until after I purchase a ticket. However, I can earn mileage bonuses on certain fare classes, and I can get confirmed upgrades on my Gold Guest Upgrades on certain fare classes. But it seems I have to roll the dice when purchasing a ticket and hope that the fare class that appears gets me the benefit. Is there some way to know this in advance? Thanks!
