Furthermore, US police are not trained in de-escalation. They seem to always want to make the biggest deal out of everything in hopes of a promotion or something.
Most of the US Canada border is unmarked. I believe some of the roads are darn near split US on one side Canada on the other. This has got to be a common occurrence. Gee. a young woman dressed as a jogger jogging on a dirt path. That should be sufficient data to just turn her around. Leave it to the border police to handle this in the least intelligent way.
