I’ve said it on here before and want to reiterate: you can ask at check in for a suite even if they’ve pre-allocated you a Club Room. I asked and got a suite on check in downstairs. Lower floor but it was a suite. And very nice too with a lot more space. Worth asking the question.

I haven't stayed at absolutely every SPG / Marriott property in Hong Kong yet, but I'm also going to weigh in strongly for the RC as a truly excellent hotel and comfortably the best combined Marriott group property in Hong Kong. The W is also very good, but not quite in the same league to me, so I'd pick the RC if the price gap isn't too big. The JWM has the best location but both the RC and W are much better properties to me, so third in line. The Sheraton has the best harbour views, but if you care that much about the view that you're willing to overpay for a not that great Sheraton I think you should consider just staying at the IC instead given your main concern is the best views of the harbour.
I agree RC is much more luxurious and would love to try next time. The cash rates for JWM and RC was only about $85-$100 a night, so definitely doable if we didn’t redeem points. JW Marriott ticked all our boxes for lounge access, breakfast, location etc, so IMO it was great value.
