Courtyard at Gatwick UK last month charged 25 pounds per day for parking. Crazy. Of course, the property was terrible for other reasons. One -- tried to get a soda from the vending machine. Didn't work. Front desk could only point me to the bar, where the soda cost double. Then my credit card was charged for the three attempts I made to buy at the vending machine. Front desk said there was nothing they could do. Told me to look on the vending machine to see if there was a number to call. Small thing, but indicative of their utter disregard for guests. No request was too small for them to refuse. Just an unpleasant stay. I won't be back.
