777s GUM-NRT returns!
United to use larger planes on twice-daily flights to Japan October through March

The twice daily 777-200 will return to GUM-NRT winter season 2018-19 (late Oct-late Mar).

In the past few years this had been staffed by both HNL and NRT sUA crew. But this October it’s a new era anyway.

I guess this return has more to do with Delta exiting Micronesia than Kim dismantling the nukes that killed a good portion of the Japanese market. Most GUM-stateside traffic not carried through HNL 200/201 will still use the afternoon 738 196/197 anyway.
