I also would think that collecting customer input, monitoring social media/FT/etc., would provide a richer data set, unless this group of auditors will be quite large.
Hopefully, at a minimum, they prioritize anonymous checks via social media reports, not just randomly. I'm pretty sure the IRS collects more taxes auditing high income/complex tax returns than they would via random selection.
