Ex Officio, maker of excellent travel clothing, has a new line called "Buzz Off!" with pants, shirts, hats, sox, even neckerchiefs. I bought one of the shirts a few months ago at REI, more for the poppy color than for the insect repellency. I kept the hangtag and make a tick mark (no pun intended) each time I wash the shirt. The fabric additive to keep bugs away is supposed to last 25 washings, much better than the sprays that wash out after 2-3 sudsings.

Mozzies are not a problem in my hometown, but people in Arizona are starting to come down with West Nile Virus, so you can't be too careful. The shirt has a label on the outside back that says "Buzz Off!" and my family thinks that's weird. I tell them, "read my back..."
