I am flying Medan to Singapore on Silk Airlines, arriving at 8:00 PM. I then have my next flight the next morning at 9:00 AM on Emirates. I would like to stay in the transit hotel overnight if possible. I have had trouble determining if I will be able to have the transit desk check my bags to Emirates, and stay airside without having to leave immigration and customs. I will be traveling with surfboards, which are a pain to cart around. I know I can store my bags at the airport luggage drop off until the next morning if I do have to go through customs/immigration and stay in a hotel outside the airport. The tickets are booked separately.
I have also heard of people staying in the transit hotel and just picking up their luggage the next morning from lost/found luggage and then checking in normally, but will the boards be safe if choose to do that?
