June 17, AF 1178 CDG-NAP "Joon" A320, The FAs rightly and carefully remove on row 11 (emergency exit) and store in overhead locker all items such as handbags, sandwich bags, water, sweaters, even books. I am in 11C between the 2 window exits and notice that my seat fully reclines when seat arm button is depressed, somewhat blocking access to exit behind me. I notify FA who tells purser. When disembarking, captain in the doorway pulls me aside and assures me that this is both normal and permissible, "No need to write airline about it". REALLY?
