So the article is less than clear - and requires a bit more digging on the chronicle's website - that cars, in general, are being broken into across SF and SFPD is doing a piss poor job at doing anything about it.

Would love to see if rental cars are being broken into at a greater rate (i.e. targeted) than cars in general simply because, if you know where to look, you can easily identify a rental car.
