If you are confused by this, better call. You are the one who said he wants to go US-IST-MLE and thats what you got advise on.

Traveling on SQ this is not a possible routing as one SQ award. TK can be booked using KF miles as a *A partner award and assuming there is award seat availability you could book US-IST-MLE as a permitted one-way award. Stopover not permitted in IST unless you book a roundtrip. Your call.
