Hi guys, I'm currently planning/considering using Amtrak for a return trip I'm taking from Seattle to San Jose in a couple months. I'm planning to break up the trip with a day in Portland, so I'm trying to decide whether to take a Cascades train for the first Seattle-Portland leg, or take the Starlight for that leg as well. I've only been on the Starlight once (and it was a short-ish SJC-SLO trip), and never been on the Cascade trains.

Any experts have a big preference on one over the other?
