Thumbs down

Anyone notice that the AMTRAK web site has changed the description of the Ritz award, to eliminate the work 'SUITE'? So I assume that it is now just a standard room.

" Use your points for The Ritz-Carlton Royal Prestige One-Night Stay.
Enjoy Deluxe accommodations for one night, featuring elegant furnishings and a sumptuous marble bath. The Royal Prestige Travel Award includes breakfast for two (tax and gratuity included) and all room-related taxes. To see a complete listing of hotels, visit www.RitzCarlton.com."

Yes, this is a change. I called Amtrak and they pretty much told me that this was is currently being offered. Unfortunately, I redeemed this award about 6 months ago when it was still offered as a Club Level Executive Suite and the certificate only says Royal Prestige Award. Amtrak GR desk says that I'll have to bring it up with Ritz to see if they will honor it. I doubt it but sent an email to Ritz Carlton anyway. This change now makes it even less appealing reward offer. It also sucks that now my redemption for a Club Level Executive Suite is demoted to a deluxe room not even on a Club Level.
