Do you feel that you can get a better rate by contacting the hotel directly for a quote? I see the website occasionally offers a specific $x rate for the day, then chops it in half for a 1 hr meeting. Just curious.. I like how the website can book direct w/o the extra back-and-forth of the quoting process, but is there any benefit to taking the extra time?
I've found rates of $150-$200 pretty easily in California and Nevada, so it's going to be hard to save a couple of hundred bucks by calling it in. And I've never had any problem with getting credit over the course of 6 meetings, so long as I entertained a bit of patience here and there.
