Yup - that's precisely correct. And if that is how they're handling it then fab - genuinely exceeding my expectations. Bravo.



I think that is the sub optimal strategy in this particular case. They're not going to apologise profusely for the error, thank me for pointing it out and then accidentally up me again to GGL are they. So best case I phone up and stay the same. Worst case I get a new card in the post.... I think I'll pass thanks.....
I wasn't suggesting you phoned and asked about a potential error, I was simply suggesting that you called to check that your card and Gold status were indeed due to end in 2020, I'm sure you could have kept it vague enough! In any case, I'd do as you say and just keep quiet. ^
