Actually on second thought I would say do not microwave the phone. The battery might explode. This also goes for the hammer. If the hammering punctures the battery it will catch fire (and possibly explode) and be extremely tough to put out.

If you do insist on destroying the phone physically, do it outside and away from flammable things.
