It's purely my observation. From my past 15 flights (segments) on CO including international flights, I was given an entire can only once. Obviously, I did not ask for an entire can every time. My instinct tells me that CO is trying to save $$$ on basic drinks.
Regardless of soda, as I said, I would rather fly a real jet including DC-9 (ok call me a fool!) as opposed to an ERJ.
