I don't understand what your concern is. There is really nothing to worry about here for your travel - Advanced Passenger Information (API) does not include your place of birth so nobody in the UK or EU is going to be looking at that piece of information.
The only question mark would be if you were applying for a foreign country visa/visa waiver which asks specifically for place of birth as stated on your passport - but in that case I would just use the misspelling. No one is going to query it. There are many place names which have multiple different spellings anyway, especially those translated into English.
