A recent trip with BA left a slightly sour taste and I have decided to look at other options for my next trip from the UK to the USA. The BA forum is very complimentary about the recent improvements to business class on AA so I figure it's worth a try. Having read some threads I understand that AA now has upgraded/refurbished business class on all LHR flights. Which leads me on to the reason for posting...

I am looking to travel late July 17 most likely to San Francisco and appreciate that fares are not quite available. I was wondering though are there any specific periods for good sale flights. Also with BA you can save a bundle booking from DUB/AMS etc and connect at LHR on trips. Is this the case with AA also due to the OW status. I would love to experience AA at its best but as usual the best deal is important also. From what I have seen the international 757 fleet is not a patch on the bigger ships. Myself and my partner are looking for an improvement over the average BA first experience we recently had and hopefully a trip in J with AA can help.
