I flew to Dubai from LHR on BA earlier this month. Prices were very reasonable (less than £600 return in WT+). I actually upgraded my outbound flight to Club World for 20,000 Avios, and then subsequently to First at the airport (for £391), so my outbound flight was amazing!
Amazing? Whoa. I guess everything is relative. It is BA after all.
If you are looking for amazing, I'd suggest Emirates First Class.
