Yes, for flight experience but not on price. BA is nearly always much cheaper than EK.
As the flight is roughly 7 hours the extra service you get flying EK is, IMHO, not worth the much higher price. BA generally fly's updated planes to DXB with new IFE.
Also, if you have Avios maybe consider the 50% off deal that ends on the 17th June.
