In prehistoric times, before 2013, I'd get op-up 25% of the time, even as Silver, flying TATL . It's actually what locked me into Delta for all these years, since the mid-1980's.
Sad to say, now that I'm Platinum, most of my travel is still TATL & TPAC on my own dime. With no op-ups, I think more and more about just going with the lowest cost carrier. The KL-DL JV has made it even worse as they are
NEVER the
lowest cost option on any route this side of Jupiter.T
