I'm intrigued about 9.5 bottles when I have been told that there are 6 total loaded for the entire round trip. The same applies to you being served first - I thought that belonged to 1C and 1A - but that maybe because that is where I usually sit when available. When you say a "full second glass" did they pour what was left or had they finished it all somewhere down the cabin. It sounds as thought the CSM (if it is Mixed Fleet) just gave it out to all and sundry on the way out with no regard for the inbound.
The cc said that 12 had been loaded at LHR, & 9.5 consumed outbound. Yes 1C & 1A were served before me 1D, (you are always right Pucci) but in this case I asked for a second glass as the cc returned to the galley at the end of the first drinks run, & thus was served first for the second partial glass. Yes I got what was left from the second and last bottle. Giving it out to all & sundry on the way out is BA policy according to my quote from CR's emailed response. Not a big problem really, but my purpose was to warn that shortages are probable given BA's policy.
