I flew with Regional Air from Asmara to Djibouti in December. As WHBM mentioned they use old 737s, although the aircraft I flew on had reverted to full BA colours.

Business class is sold as 'Business Class' and is an odd mix of the two 'Clubs'. They use Club World cradle seats and Club Europe crockery. And to throw something completely new into the mix they serve Champagne before take off. I thought franchise service was meant to be the same - not that this is cause for complaint obviously.

The Nairobi crew were very good, pre-empting requests - spotting who needed a blanket, their reading light on etc. I was impressed, they did a great job.

As for food, the flight left in the early hours and took about an hour so it was just drinks and cashews.

I hope you enjoy your flight - it 's one of the more memorable ones I have been on of late.
