I called Citibank and they confirm that further spendings using at 10X merchants will earn only 1X after the cap is hit - whether you use the card itself or Apple Pay. Anyway the CSO said will check with the product manager and call back to confirm.
Yes I'm sure. These are the facts:
1. I've exceeded the 10X cap for this membership year - I confirmed this with Citi after my last Amazon purchase only earned me 1X. They said I have to wait till 23 July for the annual cap to be reset.
2. I'm still getting 10X at DFS Changi using Apple Pay.
