I'm transiting through MEX in August. Long transit time between trans-Pacific flight and onwards to USA, so definitely will block a hotel room for a nap.
But Aeromexico uses Terminal 2 whereas this property is at Terminal 1.
Feedback on the hassle to go between the two terminals most appreciated, esp. to how reliable the hotel shuttle is in order to catch the 2nd flight.
Ok, here is the situation with MEX Airport and T1/T2. This was my hub years ago, but I still visit on a very frequent basis.
If you do want to stay at the Courtyard and NOT at the NH for Loyalty purporses, you will have to use the train that goes between terminals. This train leaves T2 to T1 and comes back, but there is only one track, not two, like you normally find in the USA. So the train is small and because of that, security only allows passengers proving they need to be at the other terminal (usually connecting). Now, if you do tell them your flight is oversold and see your ticket and that the airline sent you to another airline, you will NOT have a problem. Same thing if you show them your landing boarding pass and hotel reservation. So once this is clear (yes, it is Mexico, they discriminate against people in this train, and only Unionized Pilots from AM that park on the Union parking Lot at T1 can board the train without being a passenger, contrary to normal people parking and wanting to go receive relatives between terminals), as the train is outside of Mexican TSA sterile zone and should be open to everyone, but they could not built two tracks. Good thing new NAICM Mexico airport is coming in 2020
Now, once you have arrived to T1 on this train, you have to use the escalators to go down one floor to where Volaris and Viva Aerobus have their domestic counters, turn left and walk a little bit until International South America arrivals, where you can again go to level two and walk towards the Bus Station (you can also stay at second floor and walk through banks and venues until you find the bus station path), where you will also find a path to the Courtyard by Marriott. All of this without leaving the airport. Very easy process, only bad thing is having to deal with security from the train. So like RFNJ already suggested, it is easy, but the train station is not connected to the hotel path.
So I am sure you will be fine and complete this transfer between terminals in less than 30 minutes.
