Delta dropped Taiwan last year. They prefer the state-owned communist airline in China.

Off-topic, but lately many business travelers hub-captive to Detroit have been booking out of Toronto and often connecting through Detroit for less than originating out of Detroit. Detroit/Flint-Saginaw-Lansing to Toronto on a separate ticket is relatively cheap, if booked ahead of time.
I've booked first-class tickets to Hawaii out of Toronto and even Montreal, all on Delta, for about the same as economy-class out of Detroit.
