Not the same thing, but I took a BNIB Sony Playstation thru T5 security in January and had no problems. I asked if I should open the box before placing it in the tray but the agent said there was no need and commented that it was easier and more convenient for them to x-ray purchased goods that came in packs that were unadulterated.
