Chinese whispers with a potential red herring gives...

A friend was in a lounge yesterday and overheard a group of people (she thinks - she was supposed to be listening to her conference call!) talking about a website that compared routes to see which generated not just the best price and miles, but also tier points. She thought she heard that it had just been bought by google, but that's about all the details I have. They left before she could ask.

I'm aware of orudges tool, and the 30k plug in, but this doesn't ring any bells at all. I've had a quick look here, but details are so scant I'm not having any luck. Does it ring any bells with people or is this a case of Chinese herrings?
