Documents mentioned in appt. letter:
1. Indian passport with a valid US Visa (on which you propose gaining entry to the US on a go-forward basis),
2. Govt. issued ID with a proof of address (e.g. license).

Documents NOT mentioned in appt. letter but asked to produce
1. I-797 approval notice

The process lasts less than 10 minutes. You get finger printed, get asked a few basic questions such as who is your current employer, have you ever been convicted in any country. A second officer came by after the initial screening and mentioned the following.

1. The Global Entry is tied to a particular VISA and hence entry category. Once your VISA expires, and you get a new stamp, you are *not* extended Global Entry privileges until you get the new VISA attached/updated with your GE profile. In order for that to happen you need to get walk into their office with the new VISA and speak to an officer so they can update their systems. No prior appointment is necessary.

2. There is no Global Entry card issued for non-citizens and non-Permanent Residents.
Thanks for the update. Did you interview in Chicago?

Same thing happened with me. I interviewed at Chicago . I don't have my I797 yet as it is processing. The officer gave me 30 days to email him once I get it.

Did he approve your application once you submitted the I797?

Also, if visa expires, I know you can't use global entry until you update. But can you use TSA pre check without it?

And, I believe you don't have to go to an office to update the visa. I think it can be updated online in the website itself. I believe that's what the officer told me. Please correct if I'm wrong.
