I assume this was at B-Gates where the setup is indeed not ideal for priority passengers so I can imagine the situation you are describing! I do find it awkward sometimes.
Glad you're enjoying the HJL. While food is nothing to write home about, I find it is a near perfect spot to relax with a beer before my flights. Deserves more credit than it gets (on here).
