I was staying at the Hotel Leoneck (budget class) in Zurich, they provide a cellphone* with each room, you are allowed to make FREE calls locally and internationally (to lots of countries, USA in particular). I've stayed in "upscale" hotels and all of these have "rip-off" calling fees.
This is the first time I've seen such a "consumer friendly" perk.
*Internet usage is also part of the package.^
