Today i tried doing 4 swipes with the mcgcs at my usual WM. Cashier entered the total amount and then allowed me to swipe the 1st card. My Terminal -> cancel -> change to debit -> cashback?(no) - enter pin. Once I entered the pin the the " awaiting confirmation" screen popped up and the cashier touched his screen once and entered $500. Transaction failed with "debit not allowed" error. Any ideas?

The cashier should not enter the amount first.

Let the CSR know you need to swipe first and switch the payment type to debit.
Swipe and hit "Cancel" or "Change Payment" to select "Debit" on the screen, enter the pin and have them enter the amount.
