You can always upgrade from the fare you paid to the lowest fare which gets you an F seat. Call UA and ask. That might be a little or a lot. No way to predict.

As to the offer you saw, it's gone. With those offers, if it's a good deal, grab it. It may be gone 15 seconds later.
