I'm arranging the shuttle from the airport to our Waikiki hotel and need to give them a time for pickup. Here's my dilemma: I always like to head to the lei stands just outside and get my lei before heading to the hotel. Any real-world estimates on time it'll take for the luggage to arrive from mainland (HawaiianAir, from SMF, flying on the 767, if that matters)?

I'm thinking it would be easier to just deplane and walk over to lei stands then come back and get the luggage rather than stand there and wait for it and *then* tow the luggage with me as I walk to the lei stands--but I'm also not sure how "secure" it would be if the luggage arrived early and I wasn't there to snag it off the carousel right away (one piece, normal checked size).

Your input, please? (Typically I have a rental car so the timing isn't an issue that it is now when I'm ordering the shuttle).
